Scope & Responsibilities
As Director of Anesthesia, you will collaborate closely with Department Chairs and Administrators to provide leadership for the department's clinical, academic, research, and community missions. Your role will include:
- Daily operational oversight of clinical offices, patient care areas, and research.
- Managing capital, human, and material resources to ensure operational efficiency.
- Partnering with the Outpatient Director(s) and Medical Director(s) to identify and develop new service opportunities.
- Playing a key role in financial oversight, ensuring revenue integrity, and supporting departmental growth.
- Developing policies, procedures, and training to enhance service quality and cost-effectiveness.
You’ll need a proven ability to foster strong relationships with physicians, support staff, and leadership, ensuring the department’s continued success in a highly matrixed academic medical environment.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business or a related field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience, with at least five (5) years in a management role.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, innovation, and change management.
- Ability to develop partnerships with physicians and communicate effectively with staff and patients.
