SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Laboratory Support Services Manager is responsible for overseeing both pre-analytical and post-analytical processes, including inpatient, outpatient, and mobile phlebotomy services, as well as the management of laboratory outpatient locations, specimen receiving and processing, client services, and the courier service team. This role involves administering and evaluating procedures, regulatory compliance, equipment, and staff performance. The manager must possess expertise in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and personnel management, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services to third-party facilities in line with contractual agreements. The manager may occasionally be required to visit outreach locations to engage with staff, assess operations, address any challenges, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and quality standards. These visits help maintain strong communication with remote teams, facilitate problem-solving, and ensure consistent service delivery across all locations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related programs.
- Minimum six (6) years clinical laboratory experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Master's degree and previous lab leadership experience.
