Sign UpPenn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is a 142-bed, five-story acute care hospital in Lancaster County that gives residents of Lancaster and York counties enhanced access to Penn State Health’s expertise and specialty services without having to make the drive to Hershey.
Lancaster Medical Center is located at 2160 State Road, just off Route 283, in East Hempfield Township.
Since opening, the new community hospital has given Lancaster County residents expanded access to Penn State Health’s acute and specialty care services, including the advanced care and clinical trials at the health system’s academic hub, the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
The hospital features 142 inpatient beds, an emergency department, specialty medical and surgical services, labor and delivery, imaging lab and attached medical office building for physician practices and outpatient services.
Patient rooms, halls and common areas are graced with artwork that showcases regional artists, reflects diverse cultures and promotes the healing power of art.
