About Me
I am a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, with subspecialty training and certification in sports medicine. I specialize in shoulder injuries, including labral tears, instability, rotator cuff injury and impingement, as well as meniscus, ligament, bone and cartilage injuries of the knee.
I am team physician for the American Hockey League Hershey Bears, the Washington Capitals National Hockey League affiliate, as well as Penn State Harrisburg athletics and several area high schools. During my fellowship, I was team physician for the National Basketball Association Chicago Bulls and Major League Baseball Chicago White Sox.
I served as an active-duty officer in the U.S. Army for 11 years and was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006. I have a number of research interests and grant funding in the areas of mechanobiology, tissue engineering and clinical outcomes in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction; meniscus, cartilage and rotator cuff surgery; and shoulder instability. I continue to be a sports enthusiast and, in my free time, I enjoy golf, hiking and spending time with my four children.
