About Me
Deepa Sekhar, MD, MSc, completed medical school at Brown University in Providence, R.I. She went on to her pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. After a year as chief resident at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, Dr. Sekhar relocated to Dallas, where she worked as a pediatric hospitalist. At Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, her research work involves iron deficiency and hearing screening for adolescents. She is board certified in general pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Sekhar is fluent in both English and Spanish.
