About Me
I have been the director of the Pediatric Sickle Cell Program at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital since 2017 and find it profoundly rewarding. I am passionate about improving access to care for our patients across their lifespan and welcome any opportunity to advocate for increased statewide funding for sickle cell disease.
After graduating from Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York, I completed my pediatric training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. While completing my fellowship training at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, I also earned a master’s degree in public health from the Brown School at Washington University. I later completed a Master of Business Administration at Shippensburg University, Shippensburg.
My family and I enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking and biking. My two boys are involved in several sports, including hockey and baseball. We enjoy vacationing in the Outer Banks.
