About Me
I am a neurosurgeon with a career that has spanned more than three decades and includes 25 years as an academic neurosurgeon at the University of Massachusetts and the UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, Mass. I have served the Berks Region since 2019 when I joined Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
After completing my medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, I completed a residency in neurological surgery at what is now the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Va., and a fellowship in epilepsy surgery at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, which has been renamed Western University.
I specialize in treating degenerative diseases of the spine and offer minimally invasive surgical techniques. I perform disc replacement surgeries (artificial discs), peripheral nerve surgeries, such as carpal tunnel release, and treat brain tumors. I take a patient- and family-centered approach to care and am dedicated to providing a patient experience that is accessible, efficient and effective.
