About Me
Juan A. Perez, DO, is a family medicine practitioner and faculty physician for the Penn State Health St. Joseph Family and Community Residency Program, where he assists medical students and residents with their professional growth.
Dr. Perez was born in Venezuela and grew up in Michigan. He earned bachelor degrees in business administration and economics from the University of Michigan before pursuing medical studies at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens, Mich., and his family medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Perez practiced in the Chicago area for 20 years. His duties included newborn care, inpatient rounding with internal medicine residents and office-based practice. Dr. Perez enjoys seeing the full patient spectrum that family medicine provides. Areas of interest include musculoskeletal conditions, in-office procedures and preventive care.
