About Me
I am a fellowship-trained pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon and the division chief of pediatric cardiothoracic surgery. Before joining Penn State Health, I served as an attending pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C.
I specialize in operating on small babies with the most complex congenital heart diseases. During my cardiac surgery residency, I felt myself gravitating toward pediatric patients with congenital heart defects. My mentor was a pioneer in pediatric cardiac surgery, and he was a big source of inspiration in my decision to pursue a career in this specialty.
I feel there is nothing greater than seeing my young patients grow into well-functioning individuals as a result of our hard work and commitment as caregivers. I am immensely gratified to be able to use my skills to help children get better.
