About Me

I am a fellowship-trained, board-certified oncology surgeon. I specialize in gastrointestinal cancers and cancers from the colon, appendix or ovaries that have spread to the abdominal cavity.

Surgical oncology is an incredible specialty because it combines technical skill and medical knowledge to potentially cure cancer and help our patients live longer. I enjoy being a member of a treatment team that’s made up of many specialties. We provide care throughout a patient's treatment, starting at diagnosis and continuing far beyond surgery.

Perhaps the most important part of surgical oncology is the privilege of providing patients with emotional, physical and spiritual support during what is often their most difficult times. My goal is to ensure all my patients feel at peace and that their needs are being addressed.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy chasing my children and growing tomatoes.
