About Me
I’m a fellowship-trained cardiologist who specializes in electrophysiology. I was chief fellow in the clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship program at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey, through the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
I chose electrophysiology because I’m fascinated by the intricacy of the heart’s electrical system. I’m also interested in technological innovations in heart care, such as leadless pacemakers and left atrial appendage occlusive devices that reduce the risk of stroke. These types of advancements in the field of electrophysiology allow me to help my patients in improved and innovative ways.
I became a physician to help others. Sometimes, patients with a newly diagnosed condition are simply afraid. By spending time answering their questions and offering reassurance, I can give my patients a better understanding of their condition, which provides a better outlook after their visit. Seeing a patient's expression change from fear to calmness is one of the most rewarding parts of being a physician.
