Our Reproductive and Behavioral Health Program offers specialized care for mental health challenges that can arise during reproductive changes, such as the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause, as well as those related to infertility, chronic pelvic pain, trauma and substance use disorders. These conditions don’t just affect the body, they can also affect your emotional and psychological health.

Pregnancy is often seen as a joyful time, but physical changes, hormonal shifts and lifestyle adjustments can lead to mental health struggles. In the U.S., about 45% of pregnancies each year are unintended, and these pregnancies have a 20% higher risk of maternal depression. The postpartum period also is a critical time for mental health, with up to 20% of women experiencing postpartum depression, which can cause feelings of hopelessness, fatigue and emotional withdrawal.
